Target Haul

 Hey Everyone!!

Whew!! It's been a crazy fun couple of weeks! Sorry it's been so long inbetween posts. I celebrated my 30th birthday on the 5th and it was great! My world didn't implode like I thought :p  My family threw me a surprise bbq on the 4th, which definitely took me by surprise! And my best friend in the whole world, Stephanie, continued the celebration through the whole week. She made sure I was out and about celebrating everyday. She is a great friend. The festivities ended with a trip to Medieval times. Now, if you have never been, I suggest you go. I've been at least 9 times in my life and I still look forward to going back! Nothing like hot knights jousting it out!

Here are some purchases I made while strolling through Target the other day.

L'Oreal Color Infallible Eyeshadow in Bronzed Taupe

This is the color I have been coveting for a while now. It's a shimmery brown color that reminds me of a sparkly ,chocolatey gold color. It goes great with the Amber Rush color infallible eyeshadow. I use this in my crease, great for summer. Ladies definitely check out the color infallible line!

Expert Anti-Blemish Cleansing foam and Instant Matte by Boots

I was looking at the No 7 Line of products , trying to pick out cleanser for sensitive skin, when I peeped the Expert skincare range. There was a sensitive skin choice and anti-blemish. Since I get hormonal spots at that special time of the month*cough, cough* , I chose the anti-blemish cleansing foam.

Here are the claims(anti-blemish cleansing foam):

  • Whatever your age, blemishes and blocked pores can be a problem. Take action with this oil and fragrance free cleansing foam. Formulated with willowbark extract to help prevent blemishes. It gently clarifies your skin without drying, leaving it soft, smooth and refreshed. 5 fl. oz.
The first night I used it, I was impressed! I loved the foam and my skin did not feel dry and tight after! When I awoke, I definitely noticed the blemishes that were coming through had gone down and weren't as red! So far I give it a thumbs up! Plus, it was was only $4.94! If this continues to improve my skin i will be trying out the toner next.

Beacuse it's been so hot out, my primer has not been cutting it! My skin has been too shiny for my liking. So I purchased the Instant Matte drops.

Here are the claims (Instant Matte):

  • This ingenious instant matte will remove shine inducing excess oil and give an instant matte finish without drying. 15ml
I was excited to try this when I got home. I shook the bottle as instructed and squirted it on my finger. I was kinda disappointed that it came out of the bottle like water. It just ran down my hands. I could see the little mattifying, white flakes in the liquid. You have to be real quick with this stuff or use a cotton ball to apply it. However, it did work! I wore it the whole day and the oil stayed at bay. It was $5.66 on sale, so it didn't break the bank. But, I probably would not purchase again.

I also picked up that Fifty Shades of Grey book that everyone is going crazy about. I haven't read any of it yet, but excited to get started!

I hope everyone had lovely weekends and for those who celebrate the 4th, hope you had a great Independence day :)

Have any of you tried the Boots Expert range?  Are you reading Fifty Shades of Grey?

  1. Happy Belated!!

The Boots product sounds good and for that price, wow! I'm yet to try out the color infallible eyeshadow because I've been loving those two colors along with the golden sage color. I've been hearing good reviews on fifty shades of grey, may pick it up soon. :-)
